Our story
Kubo Tea was born from a simple belief: the way we fuel our bodies matters.
My journey started long before Kubo. I studied Supply Chain Management at Marquette University, where I developed an appreciation for how products are sourced, manufactured, and delivered around the world.
Marquette's nationally recognized supply chain program emphasized ethical business practices, real-world problem-solving, and building resilient global supply chains- principles that continue to shape how we run Kubo today.
After graduating, I spent years working in the nutritional industry, partnering with manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and retailers. I had the opportunity to see firsthand what goes into creating health products- from sourcing premium ingredients to ensuring quality and transparency throughout the entire supply chain.
That experience also opened my eyes to a problem.
Too many products promised incredible health benefits while relying on low-quality ingredients, artificial additives, or poor sourcing practices. I wanted to create something different—something I would genuinely enjoy drinking every day and proudly share with my own family. At the same time, I developed a passion for tea. Traveling throughout Japan and China gave me a deeper appreciation for tea as more than just a beverage. I experienced centuries-old tea traditions, visited regions known for producing exceptional teas, and learned how much care goes into cultivating quality leaves. Tea wasn't simply about caffeine—it was about craftsmanship, balance, and creating a daily ritual. That inspiration stayed with me. When I returned home, I began experimenting with ways to combine premium organic tea with functional ingredients like Lion's Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Matcha, Maca, Ashwagandha, and Guayusa. My goal wasn't to create another energy drink- it was to create clean, sustained energy that people could actually feel good about drinking.

Every Kubo Tea blend starts with thoughtfully sourced ingredients from around the world. We work hard to partner with growers and suppliers who share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and transparency. From Japanese matcha and Sri Lankan spices to South American yerba mate and functional mushrooms, every ingredient has been selected for a reason.
Just as important as what's inside the cup is how it's delivered. We use USDA Organic ingredients, compostable pyramid tea bags, and premium blends designed to bring out bold flavor without unnecessary fillers or artificial ingredients.
Today, Kubo Tea has grown far beyond an idea. Our teas are enjoyed by customers across the United States and are making their way into retailers nationwide. While we're incredibly proud of how far we've come, we still approach every decision the same way we did on day one: by asking whether it's something we'd proudly serve to our own family and friends.
