Chaga Citrus & Passion

I recently ordered the Kubo Tea Chaga Citrus & Passion to help with afternoon energy slumps and keep my focus sharp for work. It arrived in a sturdy, resealable bag, which is great for keeping the tea bags fresh and easy to store.​I drink 2-3 of cups of black tea daily, so I assumed this wouldn't be much different. I steeped a bag for three minutes, poured it over ice, and added a touch of honey. The flavor is lovely- reminiscent of a classic Earl Grey with a squeeze of lemon, but with a fruitier, more complex twist. It was very refreshing and immediately felt like a great pick-me-up. However, just a few minutes after finishing my glass, I started feeling noticeably jittery. Since it's marketed as a mushroom tea, I had assumed the steady boost would come from the Chaga, but I wish I had checked the package better, because one serving packs a whopping 155 mg of caffeine!​Overall, this tea tastes wonderful and will certainly deliver a strong surge of energy to anyone who drinks it. That said, it seems much better suited for younger folks or those with high caffeine tolerances who can handle a heavy dose without feeling anxious or wired. At $14.95 for 20 bags, it’s a fair price for a quality product, even if it turned out to be a bit more "energizing" than I bargained for.

I have actually tried two flavors of this tea before. I have had the raspberry one and the energize Yerba and tropical flavor.I had a caffeine problem. I have a Casabrew espresso machine and my husband buys the death wish espresso. I usually drink about 2-3 a day. Recently I felt like coffee was affecting my mental state and mood.This tea smells so subtle it’s the best one. The bags don’t have a string on them they use to and I’m not sure when it changed but not a deal breaker for me. I tend to microwave my water for a minute and put the bag in. When I did open this bag I had a small explosion of powder so be careful none of the other bags did that so I’m not sure why this one did.Now, if you don’t like the taste of green tea. This is the flavor for you. I have had multiple flavors and you just have to get use to the flavor profile if you’re not a tea drinker but this one is by far the easiest to swallow. I am not a tea drinker and I had to usually just drink it to get it out of the way. This one I actually could enjoy. The hibiscus and orange peel really even out that green tea taste.Yes it has caffeine in it. I’m not sure while someone say there isn’t. If you are like me and drink a lot of coffee you will need more than one cup. I will say I had a bad headache half way when first detoxing from coffee. The headache does stop occurring after a week or so. I can normally drink no jitters or headaches.Overall, it’s a really good priced caffeine tea. This is the best flavor I would recommend this one by far. Kubo Chaga is best for new tea lovers or those who hate the taste but wanna make a better switch for your health. I wanted to change and not drink coffee anymore. This was the best thing for the price I have tried.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from a black tea with chaga and passion fruit, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. The citrus and passion fruit come through nicely and keep it from tasting too earthy or heavy.The tea bags are easy to use, and it makes a flavorful cup without needing much added to it. I’ve enjoyed it both hot and over ice.Definitely better tasting than I expected, and I’d happily drink this again.

This tea is very energizing. It has a lot of caffeine. Not for a newbie. I was actually surprised more by how good it tastes. I expected mushroom tea to taste a bit like dirt. This doesn't. It's a delightfully fruity and tea-ish flavor.I like it quite a bit. Not before bed, though!

Love this tea - the mushroom energy is so nice! Makes me feel awake and alive through the whole afternoon.Tastes amazing and easy to brew. Nice smooth taste, but may want to add some stevia or honey. Love it hot or iced. The energy from the mushroom is so much different from normal coffee or tea - it seriously clears your head and keeps you moving all day. Definitely noticed being happier and lighter later in the day than usual. No crash or jitters - just nice smooth energy all day. So happy! Love this brand and every tea Ive tried from them.

This is very tasty. It's actually more like peach than anything else. I let it steep for the minimum amount of time: 3 minutes, and it was still a little too strong for me. So, I added some creamer, which made it somewhat better. I think I just wouldn't steep it so long next time. I'm not sure if this tea had anything to do with it, but I did feel energized all day. So, maybe the tea had something to do with it. It's definitely a good choice for me.
